Question:
Can the wood piece be attached to an existing ceiling fan chain? Does it snap off?
Answer: The chain can be snapped close to the wood pull and then use a chain coupler to attach the snapped piece to your existing chain. But I do not believe the wooden knob can be removed by itself and then reattached to another unit. -

How long are the chains?
Answer: They are long enough so that my 76-year old mother (who has shrunk) can reach them. -
