The upper half of the cups is lace and the lower half is made of a satiny material. The lace does not cause any discomfort or itchiness. The design of the bra has a clasp at the low end of the sternum and the underwires and cups come up about mid cleavage. The bra is comfortable and does not poke under the arms. The sizing can be confusing, but using the chart provided by the seller can help determine the correct size. Unfortunately, this bra may not provide enough lift for very small, flat breasts.
