Answer: Put a pot mitt on as you will know how hot it is when you try to pick it up. Be ready for the heat use mitts to place it where you want it. Don't burn yourself. -

What are the English instructions?
Answer: I have used the original Corning/Pyrex brand of these for many years before having to replace them. These are a knock-off brand of the original, but I use them the same way. This brand says to heat in microwave for about 1 minute, remove and smooth out the gel inside, then heat again for 1 or 2 minutes. I do them just like my old ones and place them flat in microwave and heat for 2 minutes, carefully remove and place in bottom of my carrier, place my hot dish on top, and zip up carrier. They keep the dish hot for 3-4 hours. I don't know what I would do without my 3 bags. They are used at least once a month, and sometimes more. I have been using them for close to 15-20 years. I have only used them frozen once or twice. Hope this helps. -

Does anyone know if this would work well keeping food warm in a child's lunchbox?
Answer: If your child ate four hours after you packed it, it still should be warm. Longer than that I would not trust it, specially in hot weather. -

Answer: Since I use them for church potluck, I would have to say, a good three or four hours. The food was still hot so you were comfortable in eating it. -

Answer: These gel packs are slightly less than 1/2 inch thick by my measurement. -

Can you boil to heat up?
Answer: Yes, I have boiled them and they do work. Personally, I would recommend using a crock pot. It takes longer, but I think the heat is more consistent. -

Is ice pack flexible when frozen?
Answer: I’m sorry, I bought the gel packs to keep food hot in my casserole carrier. I have not tried it for an ice pack. I can’t answer the question. -

How many minutes in the microwave to heat this?
Answer: One minute even less with a high-powered microwave. 45 to 60 sec. They work great for hot or cold. I always keep one in the freezer and one in the pantry ready for hot dishes.
