Can I use this to lift 4 feet and what size is the outlet? I need to attach a hose to the end
Answer: Outlet just over 1/2" and it comes with a thin wall corrugated hoes that is 31 3/4" long. I have never tried to use it as a lift pump. -

Would this be ok to use in a 20 gallon long aquarium (30x12) or would it be too much gph? I was hoping to use it to flow current and not as a filter.
Answer: It may meet your needs for creating current, but may exceed your desired flow rate if combined with other devices.
