The outer sleeves, which are supposed to be clear, are actually translucent due to something on the inside. However, the sleeves are made of Polyethylene and not PVC, which could damage records. Although the outer sleeves are a bit big, they have not caused any problems with fitting records. The residue on the inside of the outer sleeves can easily be wiped off with a high fiber dusting cloth. Several reviewers mentioned problems with defective inner sleeves not fitting records, but the overall experience with this product has been positive with no issues of tearing or ripping.
