Calphalon BVCLDCG1 Perfect-Brew 10-Cup Coffee Maker Review The Calphalon BVCLDCG1 Perfect-Brew 10-Cup Coffee Maker is an excellent coffee maker at a great price, according to customer reviews. The machine is easy to use and makes a good cup of coffee. It has an audible beep towards the end of the brewing time, and it's recommended not to pour a cup right away. The stainless steel parts of the machine, which appear light gray in the photos, are the wrap on the left side and the cover for the plastic coffee cone basket. Unfortunately, the machine doesn't have a holder for a charcoal water filter in the water reservoir. Still, this isn't a deal-breaker for most people since they use store-bought purified or spring water. The machine is fully programmable, and it does have a timer, which can be set the night before to have coffee ready in the morning. It brews 9-10 cups of coffee in around 3 minutes. Some people had concerns about the height of the machine, 14.5"; however, it fits comfortably under an 18" counter/cabinet space. Also, a thermal carafe option is not available, but you can use one as long as it fits in the coffee hot plate.
