Answer: They seem pretty sturdy - my 2 year old grandson has been playing with them continually for the last week and they are fine. But they are not pull back cars - only need a gentle push forwards. He loves them! -

Answer: Whilst one of the mechanisms broke inside, at no point did it feel unsafe as if anything small would fall out. My 20 month old chewed it under supervision vigorously (rubber wheels) & it held up fantastically. To me the wheels are on very solid & the car casing was never going to come apart.
